Start up Talk

1pm (ish) Check-in

  • IM app: Service oriented architecture is key. Human social development "puls points" to be converted into cash.
  • HDP: mysql problems - need to synchronise databases (Sara)
  • ChannelCode: "Huge RSS" -> 2 pages: html with channel links and RSS page
  • CDAC: looking at design document, and adding to this
  • Ushahidi: test this? Use loband sim. Docs: needed on setup. (Barry to find IRC/ ask Ros about)
  • Translations and wiki: needs gardening
  • London comms: starting now. Need password for site
  • Problems: documents on setting up Ushahidi.

3pm (ish) Check-in

4:30pm (ish) Check-in

  • IM: spec rewritten
  • HDP: on the way; lots to do (aka Dan's homework)! Updated Python data importer
  • ChannelCode: done. 2-step (filter/search through channels) and choose channel. Delivering for feedback,
  • CDAC review: site reformatted, extra Ning stuff removed. Flows better, and is designed for people.

Ushahidi: Loband okay. Tying Ushahidi setup: bug logged. "not too bad to set up from Github". Comments sent to Ushahidi

  • Wiki gardening: main page streamlined. Actionable items tidied, and stale removed. News and crisis section cleaned up. New crisis template tweaked. German 140-words translated from Sara's godawful German.
  • Projects and newbie check over wiki: highlighted fixes and added ideas. Added other organisations to link to (e.g. call centres).
  • London comms: updating London website.
