File and Content Delivery for Limited Internet Connectivity

Formerly known as "Files for USB Thumb Drives to Haiti"

We have developed a small utility whereby a user can click a simple 'update.bat' file which will then download an information packet for someone who is traveling to Haiti to bring with them. If content is updated, the user must simply click the 'update.bat' file again to recieve only the new content, and not all content again. This allows for one central repository of potentially important travel and health information, and the ability to update it only as needed.

In order to use this:

  • Windows
    • Download ZIP file
    • Extract zip
    • Double click "update.bat"
    • If prompted to proceed, type "yes"
    • If prompted for a password, -- see below for password information --
  • MAC
    • Download executable
    • Double click "ccfiles_osx_client"
    • If prompted for a password, -- see below for password information --

All files can be found here : http://sourceforge.net/projects/haitiresources/files/

In order to maintain the files included in this package, you can update content via SFTP at the following location.

  • Host: web.sourceforge.net
  • Port: 22
  • Type: SFTP
  • UserName: crisiscampnola,haitiresources
  • Password: -- see below for password information --
  • Directory: /home/groups/h/ha/haitiresources/htdocs/haitiresources
