This new project aims to create an evolving list of terms to include and exclude in Twitter searches.

Comments from Ed Borasky, CrisisCampPDX: Twitter Search should not be used for new software intended to live into the future. Twitter wants all high-volume searching, which I would expect to be the norm in a crisis, to be migrated to the Streaming API. Please see my blog post at http://borasky-research.net/2010/01/18/twitter-search-changes-what-do-they-mean-2/ for more details. I've sent an email to the Twitter API support group telling them that we'll be migrating to Streaming.
