[edit] Translation
- TRANSLATORS IN ACTION
(updated 30 Jan 2010) This project is coordinating and managing a contact list of volunteer French and Haitian Creole translators for the purpose of matching them with current CC projects with translation needs. We've organized a Google group for translators to view requests and discuss translation topics with each other.
If you have language skills, and are willing to help us with our efforts by translating for our hard-working volunteers, please register here: http://www.formspring.com/forms/?825930-doRNhUCTSV
- Begun: 23 January 2010 at CrisisCamp DC
- Team Leader: Jennifer Wade: @volcanojw and the same [at] gmail.com
- Summary: We generated a Formspring Form to register volunteer translators, which dumps automatically into a spreadsheet-style database of translators. That list is then registered, by hand, for the Translators in Action Google Group. When someone submits a request for a translation via the link in the next section, it is automatically emailed to everyone registered in the Google Group. Once someone claims responsibility for that translation task, they email the group to avoid redundancy. The group page: http://groups.google.com/group/cclang
