At the request of the the World Bank, CrisisCommons has been asked to create capability to transform its paper based disaster assessment form into a mobile application complete with iReporting features such as news from headquarters, photos, video, local chat, ect. This application will be deployed into the field in mid-February to be tested as a demonstration project as a proof of concept to modernize the ability of assessment teams to collect additional data as well as the ability to empower local organizations to leverage these tools to speed disaster assessments and provide more information for disaster recovery reconstruction and planning efforts.
